چکیده
Abstract We present calculations of ultraviolet spectra resulting from the scattering photons by gas infalling onto an isotropically emitting source radiation. The model is based on adaptation semianalytical line transfer (SALT) code Scarlata & Panagia, and designed to interpret inverse P Cygni profiles observed in partially ionized galactic inflows. In addition presenting model, we explore parameter space inflowing SALT recreate various physically motivated scenarios including spherical inflows, inflows with covering fractions less than unity, fountains (i.e., systems both outflowing component). show spectral features that could be misinterpreted as interstellar medium low resolution spectroscopy ( σ ≈ 120 km s −1 ), suggesting total number undercounted. A Semianalytical Thermal Stress Model for the Czochralski Growth of Type III-V Compounds
In this paper we describe a semianalytical approach to computing the temperature and thermal stress inside a III-V compound grown with the Czochralski technique. An analysis of the growing conditions indicates that the crystal growth occurs on the conductive time scale. A perturbation method for the temperature field is developed for an arbitrary crystal profile using the Biot number as a (smal...
متن کاملHyperspectral remote sensing for shallow waters. I. A semianalytical model.
For analytical or semianalytical retrieval of shallow-water bathymetry and/or optical properties of the water column from remote sensing, the contribution to the remotely sensed signal from the water column has to be separated from that of the bottom. The mathematical separation involves three diffuse attenuation coefficients: one for the downwelling irradiance (K(d)), one for the upwelling rad...
متن کاملSemianalytical solution of the Kondo model in a magnetic field
The single impurity Kondo model at zero temperature in a magnetic field is solved by an approximate semianalytical approach based on the flow-equation method. The resulting problem is shown to be equivalent to a resonant-level model with a nonconstant hybridization function. This nontrivial effective hybridization function encodes the quasiparticle interaction in the Kondo limit, while the magn...
متن کاملOn 2D Euler Equations: III. A Line Model
To understand the nature of turbulence, we select 2D Euler equation under periodic boundary condition as our primary example to study. 2D Navier-Stokes equation at high Reynolds number is regarded as a singularly perturbed 2D Euler equation. That is, we are interested in studying the zero viscosity limit problem. To begin an infinite dimensional dynamical system study, we consider a simple fixe...
متن کاملLine and Continuum Emission from the Galactic Center. III. Origin of 6.4 keV Line Emission from Molecular Clouds in the Galactic Center
We analyze the 6.4 keV line and continuum emission from the molecular cloud Sgr B2 and the source HESS J1745-303, which is supposed to be a complex of molecular gas. From the HESS results it follows that Sgr A is a source of high energy protons, which penetrate into molecular clouds producing there a TeV gamma-ray flux. We present arguments that Sgr A may also produce a flux of subrelativistic ...
